hether you prefer Wyk or Oldsum is a matter of taste. In Oldsum you have more tranquility, but the beach is 4km away in Utersum; in Wyk almost everyplace is within walking-distance. From our house to the beach it is 650m and 300m to the nearest supermarket.

ur guesthouse in Oldsum, a village in the northwest of the island of Foehr, is located in the district Toftum. There is a general store, two cafes with very tasty, homemade cakes, a restaurant and several artists who exhibit here. Just the thing for a relaxing holiday.

The (mostly paved) roads invite for walking, cycling, Nordic walking or inline skating. The dike is not far, just as Süderende with its ancient church and the cemetery with the 'talking' grave stones. Also Utersum is nearby, the village with the most beautiful beach of the island.

ur apartments in Wyk, the only town on the island, in the Rungholtstr. 19 are centrally located but still relatively quiet. The park with a beautiful playground is only about 100m away. Restaurants, cinema, shops and of course the beach are within walking distance. In the season here, it hums quite a bit. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is still relaxed.
